Doogee V20 - Camera issues

                 my name is Andrea and I have a Doogee V20 and from a few days I have some problems with the camera app.

    Build number: Doogee-V20-EEA-android11.0-20220329
    Camera App version: 1.1.60030


    When I open the app, this starts set on the front camera instead of the rear one. At the top there are all the options normally taken when the main (rear) camera is active. In addition, the image is turned upside down.
    It can be seen that the icon is present to move on to the wide-angle camera.


    If I try to move on to the rear camera, the image becomes blurred and the app blocks.


    If, on the other hand, I press to activate the wide-angle camera, this works but in black and white.
    Once the wide angle camera is activated, it is possible to move on to the main camera, even if the image is still turned upside down.
    At the top there are no options that should be there.
    Unfortunately at this point it is no longer possible to return to the front camera.

     


    In order to return to use the front camera I have to go to: Settings -> Apps -> Camera -> Storage -> Clear Data

    Furthermore, if in the main screen of the app, I try to activate the night vision camera a message appears that reports "Camera has been disabled because of security policies" and then the app crashes.

    To try to solve the problem, I started the phone by pressing volume on + Power Button and then I did wipe data/factory reset, but nothing changed.
    I tried to install another app to be able to use the various cameras and thanks to this I can use the main and front camera, but I have no access to Wide-Angle Camera or at the Night Vision Camera.
    Can you help me solve the problem?

    The phone has a lot of software bugs. I have already covered this on my official doogee forum. I have contacted the manufacturer and service provider many times in English. Without result. There were difficulties in communicating and understanding the problem. They always offered to reset the phone to factory settings. Laughable. This phone is starting to annoy me because it has underdeveloped software. Here, the manufacturer's willingness is needed and there is none. Lots of people are starting to report problems with the phone. More. Unfortunately, this phone is not a Samsung :(. I had other problems with the phone:

    There are other problems with the phone as well:

    1. It's about the power button on which the fingerprint reader is placed. It also has the function of locking and blanking the phone screen. It has happened to me several times that the button does not 

    lock and does not turn off the screen. You have to hold down the button for a long time until the phone restarts. Then everything returns to normal. I don't know if I was the only one who reported something 
    like that, or if someone else did. Can anything be done about it ?
     
    2. Videos playing incorrectly in YOUTUBE app at 1080p and 1440p at 60fps. Videos are very clipping. Such videos do not play smoothly. Everything works fine at 1080p or 1440p 30fps.
     
    3. Translation errors.

  • What firmware version do you have? I switched from Ulefone because of buggy software, not happy to hear these problems with my new phone.
