The new addition to the S-series of rugged phones from Doogee is S100. Combining a series of high-end features and a hardened body, it stands out as one of the best-rugged phones to ever hit the market in 2023.
Starting with the processor – the S100 runs on a MediaTek Helio G99 processor. It is an octa-core processor built on TMSC’s 6nm technology process. For memory, it comes with a 12GB + 256GB setup. But the RAM can reach all the way up to 20GB using extended virtual memory and the storage can be expanded to 2TB using a microSD card.
The back houses a camera bump on which there are three (3) camera modules. This set includes a 108MP primary camera, a 20MP night vision camera, and a 16MP ultra-wide camera. Also on the bump, there are two (2) IR emitters and two (2) LED flashlights. Meanwhile, a 32MP sensor is responsible for taking selfies.
On the front, the S100 sports a 6.58-inch FHD+ display. The display comes with a 120Hz dynamic refresh, a 20:9 aspect ratio, and a peak brightness of 380 units. A layer of Corning Gorilla Glass for protection against scratches sits above the display.
Doogee S100 relies on its powerful 10800mAh battery to keep it running all day. At this capacity, the S100 can last for a whopping 960 hours on standby. It also means you can stream for up to 15 hours, make 55 hours of phone calls, and listen to music for 43 hours straight.
Other features include a side-mounted fingerprint scanner, NFC, L1 + L5 dual-band GPS, game space, a custom button, dual stereo speakers, and global frequency support. The ruggedness of this phone is not complete without IP68 and IP69K ratings. It is also compliant with MIL-STD-810H standards.
